Location: Cheboygan State Forest – Off Alpena State Rd (Near Cheboygan, MI)
About: This is an informal public shooting area on state forest land that has been used by local community.
It is not a designated or managed range, but is commonly used for target shooting
Important Notes:
- This is not an official range
- Users are responsible for following all Michigan DNR/state land rules
- No supervision or maintenance is provided
- Use at you own risk
Guidelines for Responsible Use
- Use only proper targets (No TVs, appliances, glass, or hazardous materials)
- Clean up all debris (Targets, trash, and spent materials must be removed when finished)
- Be aware of your surroundings (Ensure a safe backdrop and be mindful of others using the area
- Respect the land and other users (Help keep the area clean and safe for continued public use
